GOTHAMVILLE is a haunting visual exploration of Nashville, Tennessee, spanning from 2017 to 2024. This 400-page photobook delves into the urban nocturne, presenting stark, full-bleed black and white portraits that capture the city’s denizens in a brooding, noir style. From the iconic Lower Broadway to the hidden honky-tonks and shadowy back alleys, Michael Ray Nott’s lens reveals a Gotham-like world teeming with heroes, villains, and femme fatales. These photographs, devoid of written text, weave a narrative of thought and emotion, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in the enigmatic and timeless essence of Nashville’s moody atmosphere.
